Working from home has a lot of benefits, but you miss out on the social interaction with co-workers and colleagues that people working a day job usually have. How do you cope with this? How do you get your fill of social interaction as a freelancer?

I do theater. It's an easy way to make friends and it's fun. You get to know people really well over the course of doing the show, plus, this last show I just did, I got to act like a do-nothing sheriff in a western and talk with a fake southern drawl. Poetry slams, too, are fun places to meet new people. :-)

I like to get involved in local community events. Volunteering to help out is pretty much a guarantee that I'll meet great people and have a good time. Social dancing is another fun one.
