Signing the back of a new credit card

Received a new credit card which still requires a signature in box on back. A ballpoint pen never works, and just smears afterward. Other pens are so wide they don't work properly. Which pen is the best for signing the back of credit cards?

I did use a marker, with a sharp ending, to make the signature clear. It's unreal to sign it with a pen, the surface is too slippery. With the marker it was easy though, because this fact doesn't matter. I got a new card as well, wanted to try a new bank, so I had to sign it. The only thing was that the website where I wanted to buy some stuff was new for me, so I checked it first if it's safe using cardguru.io, because I got scammed on a website once, and don't wanna repeat the same mistakes.
